You can watch the mussel barges going out, coming in and unloading bags of fresh mussels.
With the sundowner deck right outside the room you can also take in the sunset and stars.

Please note our house accommodation is shared acommodation and only for those undertaking the Reef Building voyage.
General Berths

The Wharf Hub provides a few other accommodation spaces that can be used by singles or couples attending the longer more intensive REEF Building workshop.
Most people choose to stay in stand alone local Opotiki Accommodation.
There's plenty around, from the 'Sea Gull Cottage' on Air BnB (Sleeps up to 5) or Opotiki Holiday Park Motel Units all just a stones throw away.
We do have a separate 'Boat House' which is a sleep out room with a double bed and adjoining small lounge with TV. Cooking facilities and bathrooms are close by in the main house.
Campervans Welcome

Many find the 'Wharf Hub' on a popular free phone app called 'CamperMate'.
You can use this app to make an overnight booking or phone us and book directly.
The Wharf Hub can comfortably accommodate up to two campervans at a time with off road parking.
We have good wifi, drinking water hose and power available.
The rear 'light house' area provides a shower, toilet, cooking and eating area.
A clothes washing machine, fish filleting bench and more useful facilities are also to be found on the property.
Included in your overnight stay fee is the short guided walk and introductory talk on the principles behind 'Sea Gardening' and the development of the Opotiki Community Reef. (Koha Value $40 per person)
Departure time is 10am unless you are also enrolled on one of our workshops.
